We are extremely pleased with how the students from the Academy have selflessly taken time to think about other people. Each Community group has filled large boxes for the Southwark Foodbank with food products they had brought in from home.

A Foodbank is a store where food donated by the community is banked, and can be drawn on by people in crisis. It is designed to help individuals in need by providing free emergency food for three days. The Southwark Foodbank collects food from the public, supermarkets, local churches, local groups and schools.

The Academy collected just over 66 kilograms of food which is equivalent to 165 cans of baked beans or almost 200 loaves of bread! This generous contribution was delivered to the Southwark Foodbank during the end of Module/ Christmas break and was gratefully received.
