Gary Nelson
Principal

 

Gary has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and has worked in education as an Advanced Skills Science Teacher and in successful educational leadership for over 20 years.

At his previous school, Ofsted’s 2015 report referred him as ‘a strong Executive Principal with a razor-sharp focus on continuous improvement’, remarking upon the fact that he had ‘established a culture of high aspirations and expectations for both staff and students’.

Gary always shares his genuine honour to lead UAE South Bank as Principal and has always felt the greatest satisfaction leading STEM based schools. UAE South Bank has a passion for achieving all it can for the young people in our community and Gary is delighted to be able to lead the Academy in its journey towards remaining a truly outstanding STEM learning environment in South London. 

 

 

Daniel Netsearab
STEM Technician

 

Daniel has a BSc Honours in Computer Aided Design (CAD) with a specific emphasis on Mechanical Engineering Designs, including 3-D CAD Modelling, 3-D visualisation, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Rapid prototyping. He acquired a strong skill set whilst studying for his degree and gained valuable experience when he worked on a CAD/CAM application, designing and manufacturing for Formula 1, in the Schools’ Project at London South Bank University. All of this will support us in establishing Digital Engineering at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank.

 

 

Nick Moore
Leader of Learning Mathematics

 

Nick grew up in Streatham before attending University in Manchester.  He has taught for five years including two years at an Academy in Croydon. Throughout his career, Nick has always been fascinated by rich, interactive, project-based learning and by the mathematics of engineering. He is really looking forward to the amazing learning experiences that the students will have at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank.

 

 

Ayo Alalade
Data Officer

 

Ayo grew up in Walworth before going on to study at Coventry University in Warwickshire where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He gained a year’s experience working as an administrator for a student removals company in Coventry. He returned to London to pursue the fresh challenge of supporting the development of promising young students.

 

 

Sharlyn Villamayor
Finance Assistant

 

Sharlyn joined the University Academy of Engineering South bank as a parent volunteer after a career break to raise her family. Sharlyn comes from a background in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is hoping to expand her skills base as well as supporting the Academy’s growth.

 

 

Jason Philipsz

Vice Principal

 

Having worked in a number of schools, Jason is a highly experienced senior leader with over 20 years of experience.  He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of York.  He has also studied successfully for his NPQH Headship qualification and would like to bring his knowledge and experience to UAE South Bank to help it grow into a successful Academy.

As a passionate mathematician he is delighted to be working in a STEM environment and believes UAE South Bank can become a beacon for excellence.  Jason originally comes from London and is excited to be returning to the city of his birth to help students be the best they can be.

 

 

 

Sreepriya Bhowmik 
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO)

 

Sreepriya holds an MA in SEN (Autism) and has been working in the field of SEND for over 20 years. She has got her Bachelor’s degree in Education in India where she also completed her SEN teaching qualification. She moved to UK to pursue her higher studies and has been working as a SENDCO since 2007. 

She is a Qualified Specialist Teacher and Assessor. Sreepriya has experience of assessing individuals of various nationalities, including German, French, Russian, Middle Eastern, Chinese and Eastern European for Dyslexia and Access Arrangement. Over these years she has acquired in-depth knowledge in the wide ranging areas of SEN, encompassing Autism, AD(H)D Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia. In addition to this, she has also specialised in various autism specific intervention methods such as Applied Behaviour Analysis, Picture Exchange Communication System and TEACCH.  

She is a creative and innovative thinker with a proven talent for developing provisions for children and adults with special needs. Thanks to her pertinent academic background and sound communication skills, Sreepriya possess the innate ability to share education, skills and experience with other professionals. 

 

 

Monica Gonzalez Porras
Leader of Learning Languages

 

Monica has a BSc degree in Management Science and Spanish. She completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Modern Foreign Languages and has taught Languages at KS3, KS4 and KS5 in Inner London secondary schools. Monica was born in Colombia and came to London at a young age, allowing her to embrace both cultures and languages. This enriching experience has enabled Monica to present Languages in a unique and meaningful way to each student, which has had a tremendous impact on our linguists of tomorrow.  

 

 

David Pereira
Facilities Manager

 

Since David arrived from Portugal in 2011, he has solely worked in schools as a site manager; initially at a private school in Clapham South, followed by a state school in Norbury where he successfully coordinated the site management operations. David thoroughly enjoys working in a school environment, ensuring that the health, safety and welfare of students and staff is of paramount importance.

 

 

Darren Pascall
Teacher of Computer Science

 

Darren Pascall graduated from London Southbank University after completing a BSc in Computing. He subsequently worked for 7 years as an application developer before pursuing a teaching career. He completed his PGCE in Post Compulsory Education at the Institute of Education and worked for 8 years at a large further education college successfully managing the HND and FdSc Computing courses. He has taught across many levels in FE including A-Levels, BTECs and short IT courses. When not teaching, Darren enjoys web development, programming, reading about Creativity, and listening to TED talks.

 

 

Wajid Riaz
Leader of Learning: Design and Engineering

 

Wajid graduated in Engineering Design at the London Southbank University with a focus on digital engineering and rapid prototyping methods. Since then he has undertaken many design projects in a freelance role. Wajid has also been lecturing for four year at the London Southbank University before he joined our Academy.

 

 

Domonic Hurley-McBean
ICT Technical Support Engineer

 

Domonic is our ICT Technical Support Engineer. He has been working within the ICT Educational Sector for over 10 years across the UK. Domonic's knowledge spans from ICT Technical support to Project Management. He is passionate about ICT and hopes to help the staff and students of University Academy Engineering South Bank get the most of their IT infrastructure by making it as reliable and easy to use as possible.

 

 

Annette Moses
Assistant Vice Principal

 

Annette is a Science teacher with twenty years' teaching experience in South London, fourteen of which have been in Southwark. She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biological Sciences and is passionate about all things Science related. She believes that the more Science-literate individuals are, the stronger society is. Annette also has experience as a Learning Mentor, Work Related Learning Coordinator, KS3 Director of Learning and Assistant Headteacher.

Throughout her career Annette has shown a determination to ensure students achieve both personal and academic success. She is excited to be joining the academy and looking forward to the new challenge of supporting and guiding UAE South Bank students on a creative, vibrant and enjoyable education journey towards their bright futures.

 

 

Jon Searle
Leader of Learning Science

 

Jon decided that he wanted to be a teacher whilst sitting in a classroom watching his teacher, Mr John Lloyd, teach him Science. Mr Lloyd bought Science alive and inspired Jon to take Physics at university. Since then he has taught in many schools across London, seeking to give students the same opportunities and inspiration that Mr Lloyd gave to him. Jon is extremely excited to be part of UAE South Bank due to our focus on creative and challenging project based learning that helps students understand the joy and relevance of science.

 

 

Samantha Mitchell
Teacher of Art

 

Samantha has worked as a Design and Art teacher for the last four years. She holds a BA Honours degree in Design Education from Goldsmiths University. She believes that one of her biggest strengths is her versatility and ability to apply her knowledge across a range of different artistic and design disciplines and qualifications.

Samantha firmly believes that an outstanding Art teacher is someone who can make lessons inspiring, engaging, relevant and accessible to all students. On this basis, Samantha has established a strong Art department at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank. 

 

 

Meirion Lewis
Assistant Vice Principal

 

Meirion has over 17 years' teaching experience across London and the South East and has a particular interest in the development of STEM within schools.  He graduated with a degree in Biochemistry from Cardiff University and decided on a career in teaching after working with various youth groups whilst he was a student.  He is passionate about improving the life chances of all students through education and is looking forward to being part of UAE Southbank as it continues its development as an outstanding and distinctive hub of student-centred learning.

 

 

 

 

Laura Perez

Learning Assistant

 

 

Laura has a BA in International Business from the University of Westminster. Laura has over 5 years’ experience working with young people in primary and secondary schools. She aspires to continue working with students and hopefully become a teacher. Laura is motivated to use her experience to help students excel to their full potential.

 

 

Souzanna Theo (Theofanopoulou)
Office Manager

 

Souzanna holds a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Leicester University. She has many years of experience in various administrative positions. Souzanna is excited to be a member of our Academy in our unique learning environment with state of the art facilities. 

 

 

Rob Harding
Assistant Vice Principal

 

Rob has been a senior leader in schools both in South London and Surrey. He has a BSc (Hons) degree in the Sciences and holds a Post Graduate National Diploma in Special Educational Needs. Rob is our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

He strongly believes that all students deserve the best possible education no matter where they live or whatever their background.  Rob recognises the important role schools and academies play in connecting with their communities. It is an honour to be part of our Academy and is looking forward to help lead University Academy of Engineering South Bank into its exciting future.

 

 

Imogen Fletcher-Blackburn
Teacher of Humanities

 

Imogen is an International Relations graduate from Queen Mary University London. During her studies she worked closely with the charity ReachOut mentoring primary school students in East London. She graduated from University with First Class Honours, following on from her studies at Queen Mary, Imogen began her PGCE year at Oxford University. She has worked alongside the recruitment officers at Brasenose College and is looking forward to connecting these contacts to the University Academy Engineering.

Imogen is excited to work within a school that has such passion for being innovative and dynamic. The opportunities the school offers in terms of its STEM subjects offers students the best start possible in their education. Imogen enjoys getting to know all the students and engaging with the exciting journeys that studying humanities subjects can bring.

 

 

Sam Rogers
Teacher of Mathematics and Science

 

Sam graduated from Reading University. It was during his third year, while volunteering as TA at a local secondary school, that he discovered his passion for teaching. Sam enjoys the project-based learning he is able to deliver here. He strongly believes that only by demonstrating the values of the skills being taught through real-life application can you truly captivate the students’ attention and encourage them to take ownership of their work. 

 

 

Jason Badu
Leader of Student Services

 

Jason has gained an extensive amount of experience working with young people. He has worked in a range of secondary and primary schools in his local area, delivering sessions with local play schemes and acting as a consultant for youth centres and other youth engagement organisations.Jason has a Bachelor of Education degree, and has continued his professional development by studying a Leadership course at the Institute of Education.

Jason has acquired a wide range of knowledge and has proven he has the ability to create independent learners. He enjoys working with the young people of UAE South Bank, supporting them with their learning and being a part of this vibrant community that is playing a significant part in the transformational change and regeneration in the area.

 

 

Rebecca Morgan 
Teacher of Drama

 

 

Rebecca has moved to London from Pembrokeshire in South West Wales. She gained a BA in Performance Studies with Honours from Aberystwyth University. Since then she has gained her teaching qualification in Secondary Drama from Birmingham City University. Rebecca is excited to be working with the amazing team at the University Academy of Engineering Southbank and using her passion for Drama to inspire and encourage students. 

 

 

Celeste Bucknell 
Teacher of English

 

Celeste is originally from Melbourne, where she obtained a BA in English and History before completing a Masters of Secondary Teaching. In Australia Celeste was a volunteer Youth Mentor and she believes that education plays a crucial role in empowering young people. Celeste is looking forward to equipping her students with the skills they will require to become thriving global citizens, while furthering her development as an educator.

 

 

Tosin Adio
Learning Assistant

 

Tosin has a background in Educational Studies; she has worked and volunteered effectively with children and young people, including Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Tosin is very passionate about helping young adults to be dedicated students and citizens. She supports our students with their learning to obtain excellent grades in a caring environment. She is also talented in dress making and is a mentor in home management. She is very excited to be part of the team at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank.

 

 

Andrew Baffour
Student Services Assistant

 

Andrew grew up in Walworth very close to the Academy and has worked extensively with children since he decided to move into youth work in 2008. His experiences are mainly in sports, Andrew has gained experience with numerous schools, volunteering as Learning Assistant and SEND Assistant across south London, as well as teaching PE and leading after-school sports activities. He has worked as a football coach with one of London’s biggest football clubs for children and has also helped as a youth worker. He has developed a wide range of skills to enable a positive influence on children’s behaviour and attitudes towards themselves and others. In his spare time Andrew enjoys reading and creating new and exciting learning opportunities for young people.

 

 

Saffron Mcgibbon
Office Administration Assistant

 

Saffron joined the University Academy Of Engineering South bank as an Apprentice Office Administrator. Coming from volunteering at her Primary School, she thought it was time to use those skills and techniques to support the Academy’s Growth, as well as her own. Saffron lives locally and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experiences of the local area to support our students, families and visitors.

 

 

Ronke Okeya
Teacher of Dance/ Learning Assistant

 

Ronke graduated from London South Bank University in 2015, with a first Class Honours BSc degree in Sociology with Criminology. Ronke has volunteered and worked with a number of young people for a number of years; her experiences include being recognized as an invaluable member of Intermission Outreach.

Within the Academy, Ronke enjoys running the street dance classes, as well as working alongside young people to build their confidence and enable them to make good progress.She is very enthusiastic about being a member of the team at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank, and is thrilled to be a part of the successful development of young people.

 

 

 

Negar Khodadadi

Teacher of Mathematics

 

Negar graduated from Brunel University with a Masters' Degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2010. After working for the aviation industry for a few years she decided to move into teaching as she enjoys working with young adults and she is passionate about teaching Mathematics. Negar has also obtained a Post Graduate Certiciate of Education in Mathematics from Brunel University. She is very pleased to have been given the opportunity to be part of University Academy of Engineering South Bank as the school strives to provide the students with an education that is engaging, innovative and project based.

 

 

Joyce Oyedele
Higher Level Learning Assistant

 

Joyce has as BSc in Phsycology from the University if Surrey and a Graduate Certificate in Counselling from the City University London. Joyce has over 7 years’ experience of working with young people and students in primary school, secondary schools, and residential youth work settings and universities. She is aspiring to be an inspirational leader for all of our students, to enable them to reach their maximum potential. Joyce is excited about using her experience to contribute to the success of students and staff at the University Academy of Engineering South Bank. 

 

 

Kardal Scarlett
Student Services Assistant

 

Kardal became a mentor in his secondary school where he realised he enjoyed working with young people. He could not choose between the age groups because he enjoyed working with both primary and secondary aged students. This lead to his decision to pursue a career in Education. His role as a Student Services Assistant at University Academy of Engineering is a stepping stone into his chosen career path, where he aspires to inspire young people reach their full potential. Kardal is proud and very excited to be part of the UAE team especially to work with the students at the Academy. 

 

 

Lanre Asunramu
Student Services Assistant

 

Lanre takes pride in his work with young people and he has a passion for learning.  This interest developed when he had the opportunity to work with young people as a volunteer at a Southwark youth centre during the summer holidays; providing Lanre with greater insight into how to build positive relationships with young people. Through his personal and professional experiences, he has acquired the skills of patience and tolerance. Lanre is very enthusiastic about being a part of the University Academy of Engineering South bank team. His aim is to inspire the young people at the Academy to gain a positive attitude towards their learning & attendance.

 

 

 

Paul Izilein
Teacher of Product Design

 

 

Paul's background is in design; before becoming a teacher, he was an Art Director/ Production Manager for three ethnic publishing companies based in London. He also ran a design company for over six years where he worked for some of London’s councils and Housing agencies before the recession in 2008. Paul holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University of East London. He then completed his PGCE at Greenwich University, going on to work in Pupil Referral Units for almost two years before working in Academies teaching Design Technology.  

 

 

Tiana Dracket
Apprentice Office Administration Assistant

 

Tiana joined the University Academy of Engineering South Bank as an Apprentice Office Administrator. Her previous experience as a receptionist has helped her to settle in greatly. Previously she gained experience as a chef for the Royal Air Force, where she took on a variety of responsibilities as she gained the required skill and knowledge to carry out her role well.Tiana is delighted to be taking on this new challenge of supporting our students and the Academy’s growth.

 

 

Colby Sadler
Teacher of Humanities

 

Colby is from Canada and graduated from Lakehead University in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation and a Bachelor of Education degree. He has many years of leadership experience in both an indoors and outdoors setting and has worked with many demographics with various challenges and skill levels. Colby is excited to begin his career with the University Academy of Engineering and develop the relationships needed with staff and students to be an effective educator.

 

 

Jose Blasquez
Teacher of Spanish

 

Jose holds a BA in History from the University of Barcelona and a PGCE from the Institute of Education. Jose has been teaching languages in London since 2003, within both the private and public sector and he is passionate about helping to bring out the linguist in each child. Jose is always keen to use his expertise in history to inform his language teaching. He believes that a knowledge of modern languages helps an individual to understand the history and traditions of people and how that feeds into their aspirations.

 

 

Dorraine Robinson
Student Services Manager

 

Dorraine graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Youth and Community Studies. Her previous work history with young people includes working in secondary schools in Lambeth as a Deputy Head of Year and a Teching Assistant supporting SEN students. She has also spent time as a Youth Worker volunteering in local youth clubs and adventure playgroups, as well as delivering sessions and workshops at an alternative education pupil referral unit. She has a passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning whether it is in relation to welfare, behaviour or attendance. Dorraine is open to continuing her professional development by undergoing training or courses to make her successful in her role as a Student Services Manager at UAE.

 

 

Luke Cave
Learning Assistant

 

Luke lives in Camberwell and enjoys spending his free time playing and teaching guitar and going to concerts.  Luke spent a year caring for disabled people prior to coming to UAE. He is excited to be part of the University Academy of Engineering.

 

 

 

 

Mingliang Wang

Mandarin Teacher

 

 

Mingliang graduated from Anyang Normal University and majored in English teaching. He has taught Mandarin overseas for 10 years and has gained a lot of teaching experience in settings ranging from primary schools to universities. He has worked in the Confucius Institute at London South Bank University since 2014 and has taught Mandarin at UAE since then. Mingliang also has a passion for art and cross-cultural reading.

 

 

Sonia White
SEDCO Office Admin Assistant

 

Sonia has over 30 years' experience with Southwark Children’s services.  She has obtained valuable experience working as a Youth worker, Learning Assistant and Senior finance Officer.  Her long career as Office Manager for Southwark’s Secondary Pupil Referral Unit encompassed finance and administration.  Sonia welcomes the challenge of using her vast experience and the opportunity to acquire new skills to support of our Academy.   

 

 

Brian Forde
Teacher of Mathematics

 

Brian studied Communication Engineering at Kings College London and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Design.  He has worked as a Mechanical and Systems Engineer in the Test, Measurement and Automotive fields. He has been teaching for 10 years and has a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Mathematics. He has been intrigued by the endless ways that mathematics has been put to use as a tool for describing situations and solving real-life engineering tasks; he feels honoured to be sharing these skills and experiences with students at UAE,along with guiding them while they develop as social entities and in their project-based learning.

 

 

Leila Dewar Douglas
Learning Assistant

 

Leila joined the academy this year. She is excited and passionate about working with the UAE students and hopes that a career at the UAE helps her grow not only professionally but personally. Leila brings her passion for English to our students and aspires to one day teach English. Leila also brings previous experience of working with a variety of students, helping the school to work with many different learning standards.

 

 

Lazarus Fiberisima
Director of Learning for Design and Engineering

 

Lazarus Fiberesima has a degree in Civil Engineering. He has taught Design and Technology (Resistant Material, Graphics and Food), ICT, Engineering and Mathematics. His experience of teaching in South East London spans over twenty years. His passion is in giving students a holistic experience of engineering, which involves working with industrial partners to provide real life engineering experiences to the students. This is achieved through providing students with valuable work experience as well as giving them opportunities to work alongside professional on real life projects. Students have used this to enhance their CVs, which has supported their applications into university as well as higher apprenticeship schemes.

 

 

Kafi Thomas
Assistant in our Learning Resource Centre

 

 

Kafi was born and raised in Trinidad and moved to London as a child. She has always been a natural leader and someone who is always ready to make a difference. Kafi joins the team at UAE bringing with her over 10 years experience working with children, having worked both within a mainstream school and also a school for children with physical and sensory disabilities. Kafi is excited to grow and be a role model, inspiring the students within her care.

 

 

Philipp Herzberg
Teacher of Science

 

Philipp's life path is marked by three main passions. His first passion is the study of human behaviour, which led him to obtain his Msc in Neuro-Cognitive Psychology from the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (2014). His passion for creative work got him involved as an entrepreneur in two IT-startup companies as well as a degree in Technology Management from the Technical University Munich. His third passion is teaching, which he is pursuing at UAE South Bank since 2016. He wishes to find better ways of teaching through what he has learned as a psychology student and entrepreneur. Philipp is from Germany, but grew up living in the US, China, Japan and Bolivia as well. He hopes to foster driven, responsible and confident young individuals who know how to live a fulfilled life and help shape a better future for us all.

 

 

Janine Stephen
Teacher of Spanish

 

Janine holds a BA Honours degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and Caribbean Studies, and a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning (MTL). Janine has been fortunate to have travelled to and lived in Spanish-speaking countries which has enriched her knowledge and appreciation for the language and cultures. She has taught Languages to KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 in inner London schools for several years. 

 

 

Gary Forbes
Teacher of Computer Science

 

Gary grew up in Herne Hill and obtained his degree from South Bank University in Elephant and Castle. He has 13 years of experience in teaching, which includes working in schools in south London, and across Berkshire. Gary comes from a family of educators; his passion for technology and programming was developed from an early age and continued throughout his adult life where he has designed and coded numerous online projects for use in education, as well as for private businesses.

 

 

Manos Karydis
Learning Assistant

 

Manos grew up in Crete and holds a four-year degree in Physics, specialised in Education. The past five years, Manos gained valuable experience teaching Science and Maths to secondary age range students. He is really passionate about running science experiments with students, talking about space and the origins of our universe, playing guitar, basketball and delicious food. Manos is really excited to be part of this innovative STEM Academy and will go the extra mile to support and educate every single student.

 

 

Nasrin Ali
Learning Assistant

 

Nasrin Ali has a BA honours in English language, communications and creative writing from Kingston University, from which she has graduated in 2016. She has worked with children for almost 3 years which led her to realise that she wanted to go in to the route of education. Her role as a Learning Assistant at UAE has inspired her to progress along her career path and become a teacher in the near future. She would like to be able to reach out to students in need and help them become better versions of themselves. She feels priviledged to be part of a growing and prospering tight knit community.

 

 

Pawel Szmidzinski

Facilities assistant

 

 

Originally from Poland, Pawel joined our Facilities Team in September 2016. Working with Facilities colleagues, David and Jose, Pawel helps to keep our Academy safe and well-maintained for all students and staff.

 

 

Jose Hernandez

Facilities assistant

 

 

Jose is from Canary Islands (Tenerife) and moved to London in 2013.  He has worked as a cleaner and as a Handyman in various schools. Jose has joined the facilities team at UAESB in September 2016.  He is very commited to his work and he is very excited to be a part of our Academy.

 

 

 

 

 Rebekah Lee

Leader of Learning English and Literacy

 

 

Rebekah Lee graduated with a BA (Hons) in English at Queen Mary's university of London and then went to complete her post graduate in Teaching English at secondary school level at Brunel. Rebekah has lived in London her whole life and has been teaching London students for 7 years now.  

Rebekah is highly passionate about Literacy and is committed to enhance all students' application of Literacy. She believes that Literacy should be fun, inspiring and enriching and is excited at the opportunity of instilling a similar Literacy culture at UAE.

 

 

Dawid Okonski

ICT Engineer Apprentice

 

 

Dawid is our ICT Technical Support Apprentice. He is learning how he can provide IT support in Education. As an apprentice, this year he is completing a number of exams to test the ICT skills he is learning here with us. He is passionate about ICT and hopes to help the staff and students of University Academy Engineering South Bank get the most of their ICT infrastructure by making it as reliable and easy to use as possible.

 

 

 

 

Harris  John

Harris is a recent graduate from the University of Wolverhampton.  He has previously worked in hospitality for four years mainly at Chelsea FC.  He has experience working with children undertaking the role of organising Sports Days in a Primary School. Harris hopes to pursue a career in teaching and he is excited to be part of our Academy. 

 

 

 

 

Jordan Ntale

PE Apprentice

 

 

Jordan joined UAE as an PE Apprentice, having previously been a trainee at Fulham Football Club. His experience has helped him to work with kids and be comfortable in a school. He took part in work experience at his old primary school and also ran a Under 11's Football Team based in Wandsworth and Lambeth. Jordan looks foward succeeding here and getting the full potential out of the kids.


 

 

 

 

Andrew Fredrick Kawalya
Learning Assistant

 

Andrew has 6 years retail experience and 2 years working experience working with children with severe complex need in schools, 1 year youth work experience and 7 years ongoing experience with vulnerable adults, adolescents and elderly people with specialised needs. Andrew has a passion for  learning and self development in which he has achieved a level 3 diploma in health and social care (adults), level 3 CACHE supporting teaching and learning in schools to add to his BA (hone) degree in psychosocial studies.  Andrew is excited to be part of the UAE team and looking forward to pursuing a career in teaching .
